Ghost is my new Royal Python, commonly known as a Ball Python. I chose the name Ghost due to the ghost face image found along the sides of the snake. There are other shapes that look like aliens and others are one-eyed cyclops figures!
Ball Pythons are native to Western Africa. The Ball Python gets it's name from the way it coils up into a ball whenever it feels threatened. "Balls" are very docile snakes. MOST seem to enjoy being handled and will rarely, if ever, bite.
Ghost has turned out to be a very calm snake and seems to enjoy being handled. Ball Pythons are also nocturnal, so Ghost is always hiding in it's rock cave during the day, and likes to roam his aquarium all night long!
